Security Information & Event Management

Security Information and Event Management, or SIEM, fills two primary roles:

• Incident Detection — which uses collected logs and events to discover threats.
• Incident Response — which provides detail and context to detected threats, in order to stop them and to limit the chance of recurrence.

NitroView ESM provides both functions using the fastest architecture of any SIEM, in order to provide best-in-class correlation, notification, long-term storage and analysis, and reporting functionality.

Log Management

Log Management provides collection and storage of device logs, both for the purposes of regulatory compliance and for analysis. NitroSecurity's NitroView LogCaster and NitroView ESM work together to provide the best solution for both applications:

• NitroView LogCaster — provides compliant storage, where raw log files are encrypted and signed for proof-of-compliance.
• NitroView ESM — parses logs to allow real-time correlation between logs, events and flows, as well as real-time reporting and analysis of log data.
• NitroView LogCaster — is also able to trigger events to NitroView ESM, based on the content of any raw log file, allowing NitroView ESM to analyze log formats that aren't supported by the native parsers.

Database Security

Monitoring your critical data at it's source, database activity monitoring is an essential part of information security. NitroSecurity's NitroView DBM functions as a network or agent based database monitoring tool that provides valuable database activity, query, and session information directly to NitroView ESM.
